Law No. 79 of 3 May 2016, Ratification and implementation of the following treaties on environmental matters: a) Doha Amendment to the Kyoto Protocol to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, done in Doha on 8 December 2012; b) Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and Iceland, of the other part, concerning Iceland’s participation in the joint fulfilment of the commitments of the European Union, its Member States and Iceland for the second commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change; c) Protocol concerning cooperation in preventing pollution from ships and, in cases of emergency, combating pollution of the Mediterranean sea, done in La Valletta on 25 January 2002; d) Decision II/14 on an Amendment to the Convention on environmental impact assessment in a transboundary context, done in Espoo on 25 February 1991, adopted in Sofia on 27 February 2001; e) Decision III/7 on a second amendment to the Convention on environmental impact assessment in a transboundary context, done in Espoo on 25 February 1991, adopted in Cavtat, 1-4 June June 2004; f) Protocol on strategic environmental assessment to the Convention on environmental impact assessment in a transboundary context, done in Espoo on 25 February 1991, done in Kiev on 21 May 2003. Entry into force: 26 May 2016.
