The Italian Report contains information that, according to Article 13.4 of the II Protocol shall be circulated to all High Contracting Parties in advance of the Conference. Such information concerns the means of dissemination of the Protocol to the armed forces and the civilian population, the mine clearance programmes and the legislation related to the Protocol. With regard to this latter point, it is reported that law No. 95/2011 authorizing Italy’s ratification of the Convention on Cluster Munitions, modified the provisions on the management of the Fund for Humanitarian Demining (established by law No. 58/2011), allowing the funding of projects specifically related to cluster munitions clearance.
