By decision No. 801/2015, the Regional Administrative Court of Veneto ruled the annulment of an order of the Municipality of Padua (No. 42/2014), which excluded the right of anyone without identity documents, or persons not having a medical certificate attesting their health status to may stay in any reception center in Padua. The measure was allegedly directed to prevent serious infectious diseases, such Ebola, tuberculosis, hepatitis and others. For the Court there were not sufficient elements, however, demonstrating that a health emergency existed in the town of Padua, which could have justified such restrictive measure, and also considering that the same measure affected particularly vulnerable persons.
