Decision of the Council of State, III Section, No. 3390 of 4 July 2014

By judgment No. 3390/2014, the Council of State upheld the recourse introduced by a Senegalese national, challenging the refusal from the police authority of the province of Pisa of renewing, and converting his provisional residence permit in a residence permit for employment. The Council of State ruled that the decision of first instance issued by the Regional Administrative Court for Tuscany had to be reformed, because the applicant had not received prompt information about the refusal. This  had prevented him to present to the Court a valid passport, or seek to get one (as it was the case later), and causing, thus, negative consequences on the whole procedure.
