Abstract

Further to the UN Special Rapporteur’s mission to Italy (11-18 November 2013) and his Report of 29 April 2014, the Government of Italy has provided information on critical issues raised by the Rapporteur, explaining, inter alia, the content of the Frattini Law on conflict of interest (law No. 215 of 2004), the rules and case-law in favor of the right to chronicle, the law relating to public broadcasting service, and the measures of protection of journalists.
