Decree of the Minister of Economic Development of 20 December 2012 on request and issue the certificate referred to Bunker Convention 2001 as well as the Convention on Oil Pollution so-called CLC 1992, by CONSAP

Ministerial Decree provided procedures for applying and issuing by CONSAP to the shipowner a certificate to attest insurance or financial security to cover liability for any pollution damage caused by ships. The issuance of such certification is required by 2001 Bunker Oil Convention, which entered into force on 21 November 2008 and 1969 Liability Convention, which entered into force on 19 June 1975 (as amended by the Protocol of 1992), ratified by Italy respectively on 18 November 2010 and on 7 April 1977. Ministerial Decree established sanctions against vessels without this certification.
