Decision of the Court of Auditors, Lombardy section, No. 144 of 6 July 2016

With decision No. 144 of 2016, the Court of Auditors stated on the liability for damage of the Municipal Administration of Tradate in relation to its determination establishing that so-called ‘bonus bebè’  is to be grant only in case that both the child’s parents are Italian and one of them has had the residence in the Municipality for not less than 5 years. Judges on the merits had reputed that such determination was inconsistent with the principle of equal treatment and non-discrimination on grounds of nationality.
