Council of Europe, European Social Charter, 12th National Report on the Implementation of the European Social Charter submitted by the Government of Italy, RAP/RCha/IT/XI(2012), 16 April 2012

In its 11th Report on national implementation of the European Social Charter, the Italian government gave information and statistical data regarding the implementation of the following provisions of the Charter, in the period  from 2007 to 2010: the right to work (Article 1), the right to vocational guiding and training (Articles 9 and 10), the right of persons with disabilities to independence, social integration and participation in the life of the community (art. 15), the right to engage in a gainful occupation in the territory of other Parties (Article 18), the right to equal opportunities and equal treatment in matters of employment and occupation without discrimination on the grounds of sex (Article 20), and the right to protection in cases of termination of employment (Article 24). At the request of the European Committee of Social Rights, Italy also provided details on certain specific issues, or cases of non-compliance.
