Italy’s first Report on the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, ratified in 2009, contains the information necessary to enable the Committee of the Convention to assess whether, and to what extent, national legislation on the rights of persons with disabilities complies with the substantive provisions of the Treaty. To this end, for each conventional disposition it shows the relevant internal rules and policies in favor of people with disabilities.
